Charles Schwab (NYSE:SCHW) on Thursday announced plans to add Solana (CRYPTO: SOL), Avalanche (CRYPTO: AVAX), and Chainlink (CRYPTO: LINK) boosting SOL as much as 5% intraday.

What Schwab Is Actually Adding

According to a Schwab press release, the three tokens join Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) and Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH) already available on Schwab Crypto since May 2026.

However, the additions are not live yet and will be available in the coming months for clients to buy and sell directly in their Schwab Crypto accounts.

Schwab Head of Digital Assets Joe Vietri noted in the release that the expansion gives clients more choices to build a digital asset allocation alongside the investing and banking experience they already use at Schwab.

Moreover, the platform charges 75 basis points on the dollar value of each trade, which Schwab calls among the lowest in the industry, and lets clients view and trade crypto alongside traditional investments on Schwab.com, Schwab Mobile, and the thinkorswim platform.

Schwab said it plans to continue adding cryptocurrencies and digital assets over time as client demand grows.

Why This Matters for Institutional Adoption

Schwab manages trillions in client assets and serves millions of retail investors and financial advisors.

Adding SOL, AVAX, and LINK to its platform marks a meaningful expansion of institutional-grade access to mid-cap crypto assets that have historically been harder for mainstream investors to reach through regulated channels.

The move follows a broader industry trend of major brokerages building direct crypto access into existing investment accounts rather than routing clients to standalone exchanges.

SOL Price Prediction: Key Levels to Watch

SOL has broken decisively above the $98 to $100 resistance zone that capped every rally since May.

The move also clears the 200-day EMA at $89.67 for the first time since the June collapse, with the 20-day, 50-day, and 100-day EMAs all stacked well below as fresh support layers.

Clearing $100 with this momentum marks a genuine trend flip after three months of consolidation. Hold above $98 on any pullback and the next stretch targets $115 to $120.

Key levels for SOL:

  • $98 to $100 — former resistance, now the breakout retest zone
  • $115 to $120 — next upside target
