Shares of Rackspace Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:RXT) climbed 5.23% in pre-market trading on Thursday after the company announced its entry into Nvidia Corp.‘s (NASDAQ:NVDA) Cloud Partner Program and an infrastructure integration with Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PLTR).
Integrating Palantir and NVIDIA Technologies
RXT, which is an enterprise AI infrastructure provider, launched the Institutional Sovereign Pod on Sept. 10, 2026. This governed AI architecture combines the NVIDIA Blackwell framework with Palantir Foundry and AIP within an environment operated by Rackspace.
The solution targets regulated enterprises and government organizations requiring data sovereignty and operational control for production workloads.
Rackspace said the architecture can also incorporate the Sovereign AI supply chain solution announced Thursday by Nvidia and Palantir.
Under the NVIDIA Cloud Partner Program, Rackspace will fulfill the role of governed operator. The company will integrate NVDA’s accelerated computing foundation and software with its own managed operations and private cloud systems.
Executive Perspectives on AI Sovereignty
Rackspace Chief Executive Officer Gajen Kandiah emphasized the shift toward operational accountability. “Enterprise AI is becoming production infrastructure,” Kandiah stated. “At that point, the question is no longer simply who provides the GPU. It is who is accountable for operating the complete system.” He added that for clients with non-negotiable governance requirements, “our role is to make that entire system work and remain accountable for the outcome.”
Palantir’s Head of US Commercial, Sameer Kirtane, highlighted the necessity of controlled environments. “Bringing Palantir Foundry and AIP together with NVIDIA accelerated computing and Rackspace’s managed infrastructure creates a foundation for organizations to move AI into production while maintaining the governance and sovereignty their most critical operations require,” Kirtane noted.
Raj Mirpuri, vice president of global AI clouds and infrastructure ecosystem at Nvidia, reinforced the collaboration’s intent. “Together, NVIDIA and Rackspace can help more organizations put AI into production securely, efficiently and at scale, powered by NVIDIA AI Infrastructure,” Mirpuri said.
Operational Capabilities
By combining NVIDIA computing, Palantir software, and forward-deployed engineering, Rackspace aims to transition customers from deployment to production faster. The architecture addresses requirements for data residency, governance, security, and compliance.
