On CNBC’s “Halftime Report Final Trades,” Joshua Brown, co-founder and CEO of Ritholtz Wealth Management, picked Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT).

According to recent news, Target on Monday reported that Mark Weinstein has joined the company as chief marketing and guest experience officer.

On the earnings front, Target reported quarterly earnings of $2.46 per share on Aug. 19, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $2.33 per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $26.539 billion, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $26.141 billion.

Stephanie Link, chief investment strategist, head of investment solutions and equity portfolio manager at Hightower Advisors, named Truist Financial Corporation (NYSE:TFC) as her final trade.

Lending support to her choice, Truist Financial posted better-than-expected second-quarter earnings on July 17. The bank earned $1.23 per diluted share in the second quarter, clearing the analyst consensus of $1.08 per share. Revenue of $5.27 billion edged past the $5.24 billion consensus estimate and came in 4.67% above the year-ago figure.
