U.S. stock futures were higher this morning, with the Nasdaq 100 futures gaining around 150 points on Friday.

Shares of Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:XENE) fell sharply in pre-market trading after the company announced a temporary pause in enrollment for new patients in its ongoing psychiatry studies.

The company said it voluntarily paused enrollment in ongoing clinical studies in major depressive disorder and bipolar depression following an analysis of neuropsychiatric adverse events.

Xenon Pharmaceuticals shares tumbled 27.6% to $41.51 in pre-market trading.

  • Biohaven Ltd (NYSE:BHVN) fell 6.4% to $13.00 in pre-market trading after jumping over 15% on Thursday.
  • Stewards Inc. (NASDAQ:SWRD) declined 4.7% to $2.03 in pre-market trading after jumping around 18% on Thursday.
  • Steel Dynamics Inc (NASDAQ:STLD) dropped 4.5% to $234.42 in pre-market trading. Steel Dynamics said it sees third-quarter EPS of $5.34-$5.38, up from $3.69 in the second quarter and $2.74 in the year-ago period.
  • Array Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:ARRY) declined 4.3% to $4.06 in pre-market trading.
  • EyePoint Inc (NASDAQ:EYPT) fell 4% to $3.83 in pre-market trading after jumping over 15% on Thursday.
  • Nucor Corp (NYSE:NUE) fell 3.1% to $257.00 in pre-market trading. Nucor said it sees third-quarter earnings of $5.55 to $5.65 per diluted share, up from $2.63 per share in the year-ago quarter.
