The trading activity of members of Congress is often closely followed by retail investors. When a congress member sells stocks and buys one that is underperforming, it might draw increased attention.
Byron Donalds Stock Transactions
Rep. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) recently disclosed several stock transactions, which are available on the Benzinga Government Trades page.
The trades were the following:
- Aug. 11: Sold $1,000 to $15,000 Howmet Aerospace (NYSE:HWM)
- Aug. 11: Sold $1,000 to $15,000 Howmet Aerospace
- Aug. 11: Sold $1,000 to $15,000 Parker Hannifin (NYSE:PH)
- Aug. 11: Sold $1,000 to $15,000 Parker Hannifin
- Aug. 12: Bought $1,000 to $15,000 Netflix (NASDAQ:NFLX)
- Aug. 12: Bought $1,000 to $15,000 Netflix
As of the time of writing, both Howmet (+6.6%) and Parker Hannifin (+5.3%) are up year-to-date, while Netflix stock has underperformed the market and is down 17.2% in 2026.
Donalds also bought Netflix stock in March, purchasing $2,000 to $30,000 worth of shares.
The congressman bought Howmet stock in 2022 and has sold it multiple times in 2025 and 2026.
Donalds’ transaction history shows all sales of Parker Hannifin stock dating back to 2021.
Donalds Trading History
The congressman is not seeking re-election and will leave Congress in January 2027, as he is currently running to become Florida’s next governor.
Donalds has made over 380 trades since 2021, according to data from Quiver Quantitative.
The congressman has made $11.1 million in stock transactions since 2021, with 2023 his biggest year of trading with $6.6 million in moves.
So far in 2026, Donalds has made over $300,000 in trades with slightly more sales than buys by dollar volume.
