Apple Expands On-Device AI Across Macs
Apple launched a new Mac mini powered by the M6 and M5 Pro chips and a new Mac Studio featuring the M5 Max and M5 Ultra.
Apple said the M6 Mac mini delivers up to four times faster AI performance. The Mac Studio targets demanding professional and AI workloads with support for up to 512GB of unified memory.
Both products integrate Apple Intelligence and Siri AI through macOS 27.
Analysts See Apple as a Key AI Gateway
CLSA’s Bhavtosh Vajpayee said smaller AI models could move more artificial intelligence onto personal devices and identified Apple’s smartphone ecosystem as a potentially important gateway for consumer AI.
Morgan Stanley analyst Erik Woodring said early iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max demand "seems fine," even with Apple producing about 18% more units than a year earlier.
Woodring remains highly optimistic about Apple’s upcoming Duo foldable and expects the company could sell nearly every unit it produces over the next 12 months.
CNBC’s Jim Cramer called the Duo "revolutionary."
Valuation Leaves Less Room For Disappointment
Woodring said Apple trades at a "relatively rich" valuation of about 33 times fiscal 2027 earnings, near its historical peak multiple.
He said further stock gains may require higher earnings estimates, while a deeper slowdown in Services could pressure Apple’s valuation.
