GE Aerospace (NYSE:GE) shares declined Monday as broader market weakness outweighed news of a defense sustainment agreement in Poland.
With the S&P 500 down ~0.8% and Industrials dropping ~1.1%, the slide reflects sector-wide risk-off pressure rather than investor pushback on the agreement

GE Expands Defense Engine Support In Poland
GE Aerospace and Military Aviation Works No. 1 (WZL-1) have finalized an agreement designating WZL-1 as a licensed maintenance, repair and overhaul provider for T700/CT7 engines in Poland.
These engines power Polish Armed Forces aircraft, including Boeing Apache helicopters, Sikorsky S-70i Black Hawks and Leonardo AW149 and AW101 helicopters.
The agreement supports GE Aerospace’s localization efforts for Poland’s 2024 Apache helicopter order and strengthens domestic maintenance capabilities for the Polish military fleet.
GE Technical Setup Remains Under Pressure
GE is trading below its 20-day SMA of $323.19, 50-day SMA of $344.13 and 200-day SMA of $323.45, keeping the near-term technical setup under pressure.
The first hurdle is the $323 area, where the 20-day and 200-day averages converge. A sustained move above that zone could shift attention toward the 50-day average near $344.
MACD remains above its signal line with a positive histogram, suggesting selling momentum has eased, although the broader trend has yet to turn decisively higher.
- Key resistance: $342.50, near the 50-day moving average.
- Key support: $307, where buyers have previously stepped in.
Valuation and Earnings Move Into Focus
The company’s next quarterly report is expected on Oct. 20. Wall Street projects adjusted EPS of $1.99 on revenue of about $12.80 billion, according to Benzinga’s consensus.
GE Aerospace trades at a P/E ratio of 38.6x, indicating a premium valuation relative to peers.
The stock holds a Buy consensus rating with an average analyst price target of $403.20.
- Jefferies: Buy (Lowers target to $435 on Sept. 23)
- Bernstein: Outperform (Raises target to $421 on July 23)
- JPMorgan: Overweight (Raises target to $400 on July 20)
GE’s ETF Exposure
GE Aerospace is a significant holding in several industrial and aerospace-focused ETFs:
- State Street Industrial Select Sector SPDR ETF (NYSE:XLI): 6.23% Weight
- Vanguard Industrials ETF (NYSE:VIS): 5.26% Weight
- Invesco Aerospace & Defense ETF (NYSE:PPA): 6.88% Weight
Given GE’s substantial weight in these funds, sector-level ETF outflows may lead to further selling pressure on the stock.
