Trader Notes:

Scott Melker’s podcast with Bloomberg strategist Mike McGlone, former CEO CoinRoutes Dave Weisberger and former Coinbase executive David Duong highlighted that Bitcoin is down despite spot BTC ETFs having their strongest week since October 2025.

Strong ETF buying has not translated immediately into higher prices because investors around breakeven may be taking profits.

Bitcoin reclaimed the roughly $81,000 to $82,000 average ETF investor cost basis which may become an eventual accumulation zone.

Holding the $82,800 breakout area as support would strengthen the case that the recent decline is a normal retracement.

McGlone argued Bitcoin remains vulnerable, particularly if equities undergo a meaningful correction.

Treasury yields near multi-decade highs and continued Fed tightening are increasing the opportunity cost of holding non-yielding assets.
