Shares of Bloom Energy Corp. (NYSE:BE) are trading higher Thursday morning, extending strong upward momentum after capping off a 29% gain in the month of September.

Here’s what investors need to know.

September Momentum Driven by Index Inclusion and Operational Expansion

The stock’s strong rally throughout September was powered by a series of major structural and operational milestones, reinforcing Bloom’s positioning as a primary provider of on-site fuel cell power generation for the AI boom.

Key catalysts across the month included the September 4 announcement that Bloom Energy would be added to the S&P 500 (effective September 21), which triggered inflows from passive ETFs and index funds.

Operationally, on September 22 city officials confirmed Bloom secured a 158,000-square-foot expansion of its Fremont manufacturing base to keep pace with soaring demand.

Furthermore, Oracle publicly reaffirmed its commitment to Bloom’s massive “Project Jupiter” deployment late in the month, and on September 28 Bloom announced a multi-year brand partnership to become the official jersey patch sponsor for the Philadelphia 76ers.

The ongoing momentum and facility expansions reflect growing urgency among hyperscalers and electric utilities to secure off-grid and primary power solutions amid grid interconnection bottlenecks across North America.

Wall Street Raises Targets on Long-Term Growth Narrative

Adding to the bullish tailwinds, Jefferies analyst Julien Dumoulin-Smith raised his price target on Bloom Energy to $264 from $229 while maintaining a Neutral rating. Dumoulin-Smith emphasized that while near-term revenue recognition could experience headline-driven volatility due to concentrated project exposure, the core commercial adoption thesis remains fully intact.

The Jefferies update follows broader Wall Street revisions across September. RBC Capital reaffirmed its Outperform rating and $335 price target earlier in the week, while Mizuho boosted its price target to $351 from $242 mid-month.
