$29 Million Department of Homeland Security Award
On Thursday, Airship AI announced that an agency within the Department of Homeland Security awarded the company $29 million in firm-fixed-price, brand-name-only contracts carrying a six-month period of performance. The contracts support public safety and investigative requirements.
The deployment spans Airship AI’s complete product suite, utilizing its Acropolis software ecosystem as the core intelligence layer for autonomous edge sensors, alongside additional deliveries of its Outpost AI tactical appliances. The agreement also expands the footprint of Fortress AI, the company’s server-side platform.
Executive Commentary and Product Roadmap
The contract win marks a key operational expansion for Fortress AI following its tactical integration across several major 2026 National Special Security Events.
“These awards reflect the continued momentum and critical importance of AI-driven surveillance solutions in advancing public safety and homeland security,” said Paul Allen, President of Airship AI.
“As the administration prioritizes strengthening national security, autonomous edge AI-driven surveillance solutions are proving to be an essential force multiplier for law enforcement, delivering greater operational efficiency, enhanced accuracy, and improved threat detection,” Allen added.
Furthermore, management highlighted that the company’s on-premises infrastructure serves as the foundation for Ask Airship, its agentic AI platform designed to integrate with existing video, sensor and access-control hardware.
