Ondas Inc. (NASDAQ:ONDS) and Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PLTR) announced Monday the formation of Regna AI, a standalone company focused on developing specialized artificial intelligence models for governments, defense organizations and enterprises.

The venture will use Palantir’s technology to help customers deploy AI models within their own secure environments while maintaining control over sensitive data.

Ondas Launches Sovereign AI Venture With Palantir

Regna AI will initially be wholly owned by Ondas, with plans to expand through institutional partnerships.

Ondas will serve as its first customer, deploying specialized AI models to coordinate autonomous missions directly on connected devices.

The platform will support intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) systems, including drones, stratospheric balloons, ground vehicles and surface vessels.

Additionally, the technology will operate in environments with limited or disrupted connectivity. It will help operators analyze information, evaluate options and recommend mission adjustments for human approval.

Palantir will provide AI model-training infrastructure and engineering support. Both companies will also help customers adapt the technology to specific operational requirements.

Expanding AI Capabilities Across Defense

Regna AI builds on the companies’ existing SkyWeaver C4I collaboration, which integrates surveillance systems across multiple operating environments.

The new platform will use Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) and open-weight models to help organizations develop specialized AI capabilities without building expensive models from scratch.

Ondas CEO Eric Brock emphasized the importance of allowing defense organizations to control their AI systems and mission data rather than depend on external providers.

Meanwhile, Palantir CEO Alex Karp said specialized models trained on operational knowledge could reduce reliance on larger commercial AI systems.

Ondas reported growing demand for sovereign AI capabilities. The companies expect to support initial customer deployments over the coming months.

Regna AI will initially focus on defense and ISR applications. However, it plans to expand into security, critical infrastructure and industrial markets.

The launch also aligns with the U.S. government’s AI Action Plan, which supports greater adoption of open-source and open-weight AI models.

ONDS Price Action: Ondas shares were up 0.67% at $6.77 at the time of publication on Monday, according to Benzinga Pro data.
